SeaClear is a professional wet cleaning and laundry system designed to complement professional dry cleaning and expand the range of garments you can confidently clean. With solutions for true professional wet cleaning, standard laundry, and stain removal, SeaClear provides a more comprehensive approach to garment care.
Professional wet cleaning is a controlled, water-based process that uses specialized chemistry, equipment, and programming to safely clean many garments traditionally considered dry clean-only. Unlike conventional laundry, wet cleaning provides greater control to help protect fabric, color, shape, and fit.
Professional wet cleaning is well suited for many garments that come into direct contact with the body, including polos, sundresses, khakis, cotton pants, and wool sweaters. It is also particularly effective for garments with water-soluble stains such as coffee, wine, sweat, food, and other organic stains. Structured garments like suit jackets and blazers will generally still be dry cleaned however wet cleaning will now be an option when you’re dealing with severe body or smoke odor, or when pre-spotting major spills is impractical or too time-consuming.
Professional wet cleaning provides much greater control than conventional laundry. A true wet cleaning system precisely manages factors such as drum action, water levels, temperature, cycle time, chemical injection, and drying to safely process more sensitive garments. Specialized drying capabilities can also help prevent over-drying and reduce the risk of shrinkage.
The core SeaClear Wet Cleaning System uses three liquids: a color-safe detergent, a fabric and dye protector, and a retexturizer. Combined with professional wet cleaning equipment, precise dosing, and SeaClear programming, these products provide a simple, high-quality approach to professional wet cleaning.
SeaClear uses three core wet cleaning programs: Normal, Gentle, and Poly Wedding Gowns. These programs, together with the three core SeaClear products, provide the foundation for professional wet cleaning. Additional programs and products can be added for services such as comforters, shirt laundry, wash-dry-fold, and other washable items.
Yes. SeaClear Premium is a professional one-shot powder detergent designed for shirt laundry and other washable items. It can be incorporated into your existing shirt laundry operation without installing the complete SeaClear wet cleaning system.
Our team can also help fine-tune wash time and temperature for the best results with your existing equipment.
SeaClear Premium is a high-quality professional laundry powder designed to provide strong cleaning performance through a simple one-shot product. It can be added directly to the wash wheel using the provided measuring cup, so no pumping system is required.
This makes Premium one of the easiest ways to begin using SeaClear.
In many cases, collar scrubbing may not be necessary when Premium is used with the appropriate wash time, rinses, water temperature, and water quality.
For more challenging body oils or greasy stains, SeaClear Quick can be used as a pre-spotter before washing.
SeaClear Quick is a professional pre-spotter for both laundry and wet cleaning, with a particular focus on oils and greasy soils. It can be applied directly to stains, brushed in as needed, and then cleaned the same day.
Because Quick works across both laundry and wet cleaning applications, operators don’t need separate pre-spotters for each process.
Yes. Premium and Quick can be incorporated into an operation without installing the complete wet cleaning system. This gives cleaners an easy entry point into SeaClear using equipment they already have.
For true professional wet cleaning, yes. A professional wet cleaning machine provides precise control over drum action, water levels, temperatures, chemical injection, and other important factors. An RMC (residual moisture control) dryer is also recommended for the best results, helping prevent over-drying while improving productivity.
Yes. SeaClear can be tailored to different levels of operation. If you don’t have a true wet cleaning machine, SeaClear products can still be used for shirt laundry, wash-dry-fold, comforters, cottons, blends, and other washable items. Operations can also start simply with SeaClear Premium laundry powder using their existing shirt laundry equipment.
It may. Professional wet cleaning requires equipment with the appropriate level of programming and control. Our technical team can review your existing washer and dryer, discuss your current operation, and help determine the best SeaClear setup for your equipment and needs. If new wet cleaning equipment is needed, we can also help recommend and facilitate the purchase.
SeaClear’s Saier pump system automatically delivers precise amounts of each product at the appropriate point in the wash cycle. LTE cell service connectivity also provides access to reporting on wash cycles, product usage, costs, and other system data, along with low-product alerts and technical notifications.
Our team helps evaluate your current equipment and cleaning needs, determine the appropriate SeaClear setup, and coordinate system installation. For full wet cleaning installations, our technical team works with you on pump setup and programming, with connected technology providing additional capabilities for ongoing monitoring and technical support.
SeaClear products are manufactured by BUFA Cleaning GmbH of Germany, GreenEarth’s long-time chemistry partner. BUFA brings 140 years of experience in detergent and chemical production, along with extensive expertise in wet cleaning, laundry, equipment programming, and best practices.
Select products in the SeaClear line have received the EU Ecolabel, which evaluates environmental criteria throughout a product’s lifecycle. Criteria include factors such as ingredients, toxicity, biodegradability, packaging, and the avoidance of certain hazardous substances. The EU Ecolabel is very hard to obtain and is periodically reviewed by a third party for ongoing compliance.
Getting started depends on the needs of your operation. SeaClear Premium laundry powder and SeaClear Quick pre-spotter can be used without installing the complete wet cleaning system.
For a full SeaClear wet cleaning setup, we’ll begin by learning about your current operation, including your washer and dryer models, existing products, and proposed installation area. Our team will then determine the appropriate setup, coordinate your initial products, and schedule installation and programming.
